As the season of giving is upon us, I’d like to share with everyone a fabulous internet tool.   It’s a newsletter that links me directly to a website called “Tip Hero your guide to saving money.”  The website is simple to use and easy to read.  And I check it out every time it shows up in my in box, during my little spurts of freedom while I work.  It has become a source of inspiration, information and interest for me.  Here it is for you all to check out and sign up for.  In this season of money spending, don’t be disheartened.  There are tools out there to help us, the hardest part is finding them, and this site puts a great deal together in a handy money saving idea one stop shop.

We think it’s great news that several Tennessee Prisons are choosing to Go Green, and Live Green Tennessee recently visited Sergeant Doug Griffith of the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
Griffith explained a recycling program that turns leftover food from five prisons into rich, fertile mulch that’s then used on a 100-acre kitchen garden. The inmates working the farm save the prison system—and you, the taxpayer—money...
But more important is the responsibility, the fresh air, and the opportunity to learn practical, employable and life-long skills to help trustees adjust to life upon release.
